The Highs And Lows Of The Scottish Cup- SPFL Recap April 16th-18th

As the quarter finals of the Scottish Cup are looming here are the scores and updates you may have missed.

Aberdeen played their first match with new manager Stephen Glass in the dug out this weekend. They originally drew 2-2 with Livingston after 120 minutes which lead to a penalty shootout and the Dons progressing to the quarter finals. Aberdeen will face Dundee United who beat League One side Forfar Athletic 1-0 on Friday night. They will play each other in the quarter finals on Sunday the 25th of April at 2:30pm on BBC Scotland.

Celtic are officially trophy less this season as their Scottish Cup run was put to an end by Rangers in a 2-0 defeat. This is the first time in nine years Celtic haven’t won at least one trophy as they were knocked out of the League cup in their first match back in autumn and lost the league title to Rangers. Rangers are set to meet St Johnstone at 6:30pm on Sunday the 25th of April on Premier Sports. St Johnstone beat League One side Clyde FC 2-0 on Saturday in order to progress on to the quarter finals in hopes of adding two trophies to their name this season after they secured the League Cup earlier this season.

Hibernian will face Motherwell in the quarter finals after Hibs beat Stranraer 4-0 in Dumfries on Sunday. Motherwell drew 1-1 with Championship side Grennock Morton during 120 minutes of game time before they won 5-3 on penalties on Friday night. Hibs will play Motherwell at Easterroad on Saturday the 24th of April at 5pm on Premier Sports.

Kilmarnock were able to beat Montrose 3-1 on Saturday and will face St Mirren who were the victors in their match against Inverness Caledonian Thistle where they won 2-1. Kilmarnock will play St Mirren on Monday the 26th of April at 19:45 on BBC Scotland.
