Oliver Townend, Laura Collet and Tom McEwan are Team GB’s 11th gold medalists. The trio won team GB’s first gold in the sport for the first time since 1972.

The group led by 17.9 penalties at the show jumping finale after McEwen went ahead riding Toledo De Kerser, Collett having four faults with her horse London 52 and Townend also collecting four with Ballaghmor Class.
The team were all making their first Olympic debuts during this year’s games.
