Aberdeen 2 – Celtic 4
Charlie Wellings opened the scoreline for Celtic within the first 15 minutes of the game. An own goal from Kelly Clark seen Aberdeen equalise shortly after. Chloe Craig and Charlie Wellings then went on to put Celtic ahead once again. Eilidh Shore score a last minute goal for the dons but a 90th minute penalty from Chloe Craig seen Celtic win the match 4-2.
Glasgow City 6 – 0 Motherwell
A six goal thriller seen the steelwomen lose on their first league match of the season. Priscilla Chinchilla scored for Glasgow City a mere minute into the game. Her goal was then followed by Claire Walsh and two goals from Ode Fulutudilu before half-time. In the second half Taylor Fisher and Mairead Fulton scored the final two Glasgow City goals.
Hamilton 2 – 1 Hearts
Aimee Anderson put Hearts ahead 72 minutes into the game but unfortunately for Hearts Hamilton snuck ahead and won the match 2-1. Two goals from Hannah Scott sealed the win for the Lanarkshire side.
Hibs 3 – 0 Spartans
Alexa Coyle took Hibs ahead five minutes into the game. Colette Cavanagh then doubled Hibs’ lead before half-time and eventually Michaela McAlonie’s goal in the 65th minute ended Spartans’ hopes of fighting back.
Rangers were meant to play Partick Thistle on opening weekend but the match was postponed due to a covid incident.
